Maribel Parman is an educator, dancer, and community arts advocate dedicated to empowering individuals through movement, cultural connection, and embodied learning. She believes the body is a powerful tool for communication, resilience, and transformation, and her work consistently bridges the worlds of education, performance, and community engagement.
Maribel’s journey began with a deep passion for dance and teaching, which grew into a broader mission to create inclusive spaces where people of all ages can build confidence and express themselves authentically. She has designed and facilitated workshops, classes, and presentations that integrate movement, reflection, and creative exploration, emphasizing adaptability, self-awareness, and the courage to grow through challenges.
Her work has reached diverse audiences across multiple settings. Maribel has presented and collaborated within Billings Public Schools District 2, led community programming at the Billings Public Library in Montana, and shared her movement-based work internationally in Spain, Mexico, and Italy. She has also contributed to learning communities at MSU Billings, further expanding her impact in higher education.
As a featured presenter at the Montana Women’s Leadership Conference, Maribel delivers interactive, hands-on experiences that invite participants to deepen their connection with themselves and others.
Across classrooms, colleges, libraries, and international stages, Maribel’s mission remains clear: to inspire unity, elevate confidence, and bring the transformative power of movement and the arts into the heart of the community.
Maribel is originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, where she began her formal dance training with Danza Jazz Stage. From an early stage in her career, she demonstrated exceptional talent and dedication, later being recognized as one of the Best Dancers in the Adult Division at the AMTC International Talent and Model Competition in Orlando, Florida. Throughout her competitive career, she earned multiple first-place awards in hip hop and contemporary, as well as recognition for Best Choreographer.
A certified Latin dance instructor, Maribel is passionate about teaching, choreographing, and mentoring dancers of all ages. She is also an intentional coach and motivational speaker, empowering students and artists to grow not only in technique, but in confidence, discipline, and purpose. Originally from Mexico, she has expanded her impact internationally, teaching and sharing her artistry in Italy, Spain, Mexico, and across the United States.
Maribel continues to invest in her professional growth by training with world-renowned choreographers such as Misha Gabriel, Mia Michaels, Marty Kudelka, Brian Friedman, Robert Prescott Lee, Jeff “PHI” Nguyen, Napoleon and Tabitha D’umo, Tyce Diorio, and many others. She has completed intensive training programs at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway in New York, along with numerous national workshops.
In addition to performance and teaching, Maribel has directed and choreographed large-scale flash mobs and community projects to support nonprofit organizations including Special Olympics and Nova. Her performance and choreography credits include work with AMTC International, Danza Jazz Stage, the award-winning Outlaws Dance Team (recognized as Best IFL National Team), Rimrock Opera, Patron G, comedian Hannibal Buress, Eric Bellinger, and Terpsichore Dance Company, where she danced and choreographed for six years.
Maribel is the Director of Breccia Performing Company and Raíz Eterna Dance Company, where she leads with a vision rooted in cultural pride, artistic excellence, and community impact. She also created the piece Echoes for ARC – A Montana Dance Collective, with the intention of promoting resilience, unity, and hope during difficult times.
Maribel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with endorsements in Spanish and Business. She currently serves as a Spanish teacher at West High School and teaches at the School of Classical Ballet and Montana Dance Center. She is also an active member of ARC, a Montana Dance Collective, and has co-directed El’s Clay and MadCo Dance Co.
Through dance, education, and intentional leadership, Maribel continues to inspire artists and communities to move with purpose, resilience, and passion.

Carly Mann
Codirector and Choreographer

Carly was born and raised in California. She started her dance training in the East Bay and began her teaching career at dance studios in the Bay Area. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Dance from San Jose State University with the following honors: Magna Cum Laude, Dean’s Scholar, and Outstanding Graduating Senior. As a student at SJSU she trained in ballet, modern, and jazz. Carly has extended her training at locations in San Francisco, Colorado and Montana. As a dancer in Billings she has performed in two Rimrock Opera performances, other independent projects, and is currently in her fifth season with Terpsichore Dance Company.
Carly teaches various levels of modern, jazz, tap and ballet at several studio locations in Billings. She is Co-Director and Choreographer for Motion Arts Dance Company (MADCo), a junior modern dance company housed at Montana Dance Center. Her education in Early Childhood Development from SJSU continues to aid her in her passion for teaching dance to the youth. She is excited to continue exposing dance to the Billings community as a teacher and performer.

Ade Obayomi Season 2021-2022
Ode began dancing when he was young, excelling not only at training and competition, but also as an accomplished gymnast, earning Arizona’s State Champion title at just ten years old. While attending Chapman University, Ade auditioned for Season 5 of So You Think You Can Dance and became one of the top 3 boy finalists. His dance credits include working and performing in a nationwide tour with SYTYCD, a Grammys performance with Beyonce, appearance in Rihanna’s “Hard” music video, and touring with Alicia Keys as part of the Element of Freedom World Tour. He has also worked with numerous other well-known artists, such as Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, JLo, Kelly Rowland, and the cast of American Idol. Ade also became a SYTYCD All Star and completed a 40 city national tour. Ade is excited to bring his high-energy style to Velocity’s tour
Morgan Dake

Education: BFA Dance – The Ohio State University; Juris Doctor – University of Montana School of Law.

Dance Background: Morgan danced professionally in Seattle for several years before heading to law school. She began dancing with the Arc dancers here in Billings in 2014.

Favorite Dance Experience: A series of house party performances with her dance crew in Seattle
Kristen Cooper 2021-2022
Cooper trained in Los Angeles with many teachers, assisting Rhonda Miller and Jeff Amsden. She danced in various stage, film, and video productions. She was a principal dancer for Costa Cruise Lines. She now runs a pre-professional jazz company in the Seattle area. She is also teaching for the 7th year at Pacific Northwest Ballet Summer School and for the Dance This Intensive with Seattle Theatre Group. Her choreography has been seen at Bumbershoot Arts Festival (Seattle), Tanzommer Dance Festival (Austria), Sign of the Times (Westlake Productions), PONCHO Gala (Seattle) and at Theatre Ballet of Spokane. Many of her students have gone on to careers in the professional world of dance, performing and teaching. Her former dancers have performed with Backstreet Boys, Fiona Apple, Black Eyed Peas, Paul McCartney, and Celine Dion, as well as the Broadway tour of "Wicked", LA based Hysterica Dance Co., Evolutions, and Soul Escape.
